Labor overlooks region

-

YOU better believe it, the only fertile area where Ministers successfully “grow” is in southeast Queensland, preferably in Brisbane.

Well, I must have missed that important geography class.

People in the region voted for Treasurer Curtis Pitt, after winning the seat he was axed and we all know why and who is the new Treasurer now.

Our trump card from Cairns Michael Healy, who is better qualified then some already in the Cabinet, has been completely overlooked.

And why, because Queensland Labor Left is exerting too much power, dominating caucus and cabinet.

This whole saga reminds me of the fable that I like very much.

A shepherdess was moving the sheep from the paddock high up in the mountain when suddenly the strong smoke and a gigantic wall of raging flame stopped them.

They had no choice but to start running downhill.

On the way down a snake struggling to escape fire begged the shepherdess for help: “Please, take me with you, save my life”. The shepherdess grabbed the snake and put her in the bosom.

Once safe at the bottom of the moun- tain, the snake had bitten the shepherdess. Dying, she asked the snake: “Why did you bite me?”

Snake replied: “When you picked me up, you knew I was a snake.” Josip Crljen, Parramatta Park
