Exercising becomes part of a personal trainer’s normal work routine.

They get paid to look and feel very fit and healthy and often need business skills as they work as sole traders.

The personal training industry as a whole is growing larger every month across Australia.

“I like to inspire people and help create a fitter and healthier nation,” the 22-yearold said.

“I got the opportunit­y to teach group fitness and had people through the groups who asked me to do personal training with them.

“I have a real interest in transforma­tion. There are different sorts of transforma­tion, it could be weight loss, or it could be rehabilita­tion.

“All in all, it is about mobilising people to feel better, emotionall­y, mentally and physically. Lots of people still underestim­ate the benefits of exercise on mental and emotional health.”

Mr Howard said he hoped education surroundin­g the holistic benefits exercise gave individual­s would improve in the future.

He said working with members of the public was the best part of the job.

“Seeing them become happier within themselves is amazing,” Mr Howard said.

“I wouldn’t say there are many downsides, either.”
