I’m not from Cairns, but I might be moving here soon and I’ve been down plenty of times. I work as a decky and I might soon have a job offer as a skipper here for the prawn season. The last time I lived here was a year and a half ago, but I’ve been here four times, working at farms, doing council jobs, while doing my horticulture course. In my free time, I like staying up in the Tablelands, going for hikes and seeing the natural surroundings. Emerald Falls and waterfalls like that are beautiful. In Cairns, I come down on weekends often and get stuck into the nightlife. There’s lots of great bars like PJ O’Briens, the Woolshed, Gilligan’s Nightclub. It’s probably the best nightlife in Queensland.
