The Weekend Post

Countdown to kick-off is on

-

WITH just two weeks until the start of the CDRL season, clubs across the Far North are finalising their squads to strengthen their 2018 premiership tilt. Brothers and Innisfail appear to be the favourites, but Yarrabah showed last year you never know what can happen. We take a look at how they’re shaping up. Clubs are still on the lookout for players. Most train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm, so get in touch with your local club and get involved.

“In both trial matches we’ve had plenty of positives with the style of football we want play in 2018. The new players we played in the trials showed that they are capable of playing at a higher level. The expectation for the club is to do well in all grades we have adopted a new club culture and it’s about what the players can do for the club and their team mates.”

“We are looking forward to our first game against Suburbs.”
