“We’re still building. It’s looking positive. I’m quite happy where we’re at this point in time. Come Round 1 we’ll have a fairly committed squad. We’re getting a real focus around the first six weeks of the competition to make sure we’re right in the mix straight away. We’re not going in with an attitude we’re making up the numbers.”

“My impression, without seeing much of the other teams, is it seems to be the competition will be fairly open this year. Innisfail are going to be up there in the early stages. The teams that have done the preparation might come out of the blocks early.”
