FRESH FEEL

-

CAIRNS’ Cazalys Stadium will be the location where Stuart Dew and his Gold Coast Suns take their first step from ground zero.

The Suns are almost a completely different outfit to the one that finished last season – a new coach, in Dew ( pictured), a new general manager of football operations in Jon Haines and champion midfielder Gary Ablett, the player the club had relied upon since they entered the AFL, is back at Geelong.

Suns co-captain Tom Lynch says the club has a “fresh feel” since he turned up for the opening day of preseason as they built towards Round 1 of 2018 against North Melbourne today.

Lynch believes the new coach backs up his words with actions.

“Since day one when he came in, Stuey has been open and built those relationships,” Lynch said.

“Everyone is really united in what we want to achieve, down from the senior coach to the property steward.

“We are going in the right direction with what we want to do.

“It is going to be a lot of work but we can see the direction where we want to head.” FULL STORY PAGE 60
