“Now that it’s kitten season, our vet bills range from $4000-7000 so we need all the support we can get to keep operating.”

Justice Henry said the killing’s “vigilante flavour and extent of extreme violence” warranted a 12-year jail term.

He must serve at least 80 per cent of the term before he is eligible for parole.
