RACE ONE

CRAIGLEA ALDI $2.40 Now in the yard of Rhonda Inglis with Alwyn Bailey on the comeback trail, Craiglea Aldi has an excellent record at the track and over the 1250m trip. The gelding has three wins and two other top-three finishes from six starts at the track and distance.

RACE TWO

AETHERIUS $2.20 The Ricky Ludwig filly has been in top form this preparation and looks well placed to secure career win No. 4 this afternoon. Kerry Rockett will carry 3.5kg more than his nearest rival but big Ricky has a strong strike rate. If you are looking for some value, Rocket ’N’ Ruby is your go.

RACE THREE

RYLEE’S SAGA $11 A winner at this track and distance last start, we will stick with the Inglis-Bailey mare. Comeback jockey Shane Pawsey got the best out of the six-year-old earlier this month and he retains the ride. First starter in the north Abitazar, now trained by Trevor Rowe, could be one to watch if he runs up to his NSW form.

RACE FOUR

LAPELS $4 Unlucky not to break through last start at Cairns, the partnership of Shohei Kaya and Peter Rowe gets another chance today. After leading all the way last start and getting run down, the gelding drops back from the 1250m to 950m today.

RACE FIVE

CENTRE RED $3.20 The Janel Ryan-trained gelding was super impressive last month, winning by 1.5 lengths at the track and distance he goes around at today. He looks hard to hold out. With a decent second-up record, Super Shoes looks value at $8 following his debut win in the Far North.

RACE SIX

COLLYWOBBLE $4 The top weight has nice New Zealand form but this Trevor Rowe mare is a laststart winner at the track.
