Brown the red hot mover in SuperCoach

- TOM SANGSTER

PARRAMATTA 18-year-old Dylan Brown is officially the biggest mover on the SuperCoach market.

Ownership of the Auckland-born playmaker has surged from 10.60 per cent when SuperCoach opened to a massive 45 per cent. He is now the fourth most popular player in the game.

Brown’s ownership jump comes following news Parramatta coach Brad Arthur will give the young gun first shot at the halves spot vacated by Corey Norman (Dragons).

“I have sat him down and told him that we want to give him first opportunity,” Arthur said recently. “I don’t like making promises I can’t keep.

“It is up to him. At this stage he is training alongside Mitchell Moses and he is earning the trust of his teammates … He is going to give himself every opportunity.”

Brown is so highly-rated the Warriors attempted to poach him late last year to replace Cronulla-bound Shaun Johnson, which prompted a stern reaction from the Eels that their star youngster is signed until 2020 and not for sale.

Meanwhile, SuperCoaches have gone cold on last year’s top point scorer Damien Cook, who has dropped from eighth to 28th on most popular list.

SuperCoaches are seemingly scared off by Cook’s asking price, the highest in the game following his breakout season, and the conservative coaching style of Wayne Bennett.
