NESTLED in quiet Bellenden Ker are the stars of Channel 7’s Instant Hotel.

Gene and Sharon Pierson run Misty Mountains Rainforest Retreat, about 40km south of Cairns.

The married couple say they only expect the best when they’re on holidays.

“When we holiday, we only do five stars. We only like to do the best if we can,” Ms Pierson said.

That’s why they’ve spruiked their hotel as an all-inclusive experience, including a private mountain stream, a private chef and spa treatments.

Ms Pierson said it was a big change for the couple to open their home to guests.

“This is the first time we have rented out our family home. We are excited to open our beautiful homestead so that others can enjoy the unique rainforest location,” she said.

“I love the pure rainforest with swimming holes, running mountain streams, barbecue and picnic areas and the many nature walks. You can pick fresh fruit, collect eggs and enjoy all the simple things with a touch of luxury.”

The couple say they’re certain they’ll be able to wow the other contestants with their Far Northern property.

“We love and believe in what we have. There is no place like this in the world, offering both luxury accommodation and complete privacy,” Ms Pierson said.

Mr Pierson said there was “no other place like our property in the world”.

Instant Hotel is on Channel 7, Mondays at 9pm.
