AFL Cairns are hopeful the 2020 season will be as evenly fought as the competition has ever been.

Reigning premiers Port Douglas look to have come back to the pack a little bit while Cairns Saints and South Cairns are on an upwards trajectory after busy offseasons. North Cairns, who have been listless over the last few years, are set to advance, as well. “North Cairns will improve so I think the bottom end of the ladder will even out, and I am really confident the top five clubs will maintain where they have been and will be in it to win the flag,” AFL Cairns’ football manager Craig Lees said.
