RACE 3 – Benchmark 70, 1400m
Hell Of A Boy is the horse they all have to beat. He looks extremely well placed in this and has the right credentials to win and win easy. Bonython is improving all the time and has to be rated some chance to upset Hell Of A Boy, the combination of Sharlee Hoffman and Lacey Morrison is lethal. Higher Love has been in solid form his past three runs and is not the worst in this race. Old Buster Block showed some encouraging signs last start and can be included in the mix here.

RACE 4 – Class 3, 1200m
Vaporizing was an eye-catcher last start, screaming home behind Higher Realm in a much harder race, rises in weight but if the speed is on he can finish all over the top of them. Perfect Quality has drawn wide but has been super in two runs up North for Graham Hughes. They may elect to take it up here on speed from the gate and, if so, he will be in this for a long way. Strathcona comes out of the same race as Vaporizing last start and was very good in running a close- up 3rd behind Higher Realm. An onspeed runner and a big threat.

RACE 5 – 3YO Maiden, 1000m
An even 3-year-old maiden with fair form lines. Freddy Barbarossa is a query over the 1000m but if a few run along and the gaps appear he will be charging at them after a luckless run last start. Minokawa looked a shade disappointing on face value first up at Rockhampton last start, her trials were good leading in so she can improve sharply here. Simply Beans is on the quick back-up after a nice effort at Cairns on Monday and should be included. Premium Star is in the mix first up after a couple of nice runs in the Winter Carnival.

RACE 6 – Class 1, 1000m
Southeast Queensland form and in the right camp, Quatum has freshened up and has a favourable draw with the only disadvantage being the 60kg. Super Fast resumes and looks to have solid ability, he was still learning what it was all about last preparation, however, dominated on a wet track here two starts back, has trialled well and should be kept very safe. Sirianni has drawn badly but trialled up super for this and should be respected. Line Of Kings is a boilover chance and could add some spice to the quaddie.
