Fun, friendly, relaxed vibe

-

Tickets for the ‘best new festival in Australia,’ Grampians Music Festival at Halls Gap, are now on sale.

Saskwatch, Tigertown and Felix Riebl, of The Cat Empire, feature in the line-up for the inaugural event, from February 24 to 26.

More than 20 artists will perform throughout the three days, with festival-goers treated to indie, folk, pop, rock and soul genres.

Festival director Carly Flecknoe said the event would also include pop-up vendors and hidden surprises.

She said the festival offered the right ingredients for a special music event: a superb line-up, small chilled out vibe and a spectacular location.

“Set in the beautiful Grampians mountains, we’re building a festival that will always stay small, fun, friendly, relaxed and packed with great up-and-coming bands,” she said. “We are thrilled to bring together such an amazing line-up.

“We have a great opportunity to help introduce people to some fabulous new artists and show some familiar faces in a new light.

“Filling up the stage with no less than nine band members, Saskwatch has opened for Earth, Wind and Fire, played at Glastonbury and released three incredible albums. Their seriously sassy soul is something that you can’t help but dance to.”

Tickets start at $30 for Friday ‘Locals Night’, $175 for a two-day pass and $195 for a threeday pass.
