Family day out at Willaura market

-

Willaura Healthcare Outdoor Market is again shaping up to be a great family day out.

Organisers have promised delicious food, children’s entertainment, music, circus performances and quality market stalls.

Willaura Healthcare Auxiliary member and market co-ordinator Jane Millear said there would be additional children’s entertainment this year.

She said joining the jumping castle and mini golf would be a trackless train that would keep children entertained for hours.

“The trackless train will take families on a ride around the recreation reserve and market grounds,” she said.

Mrs Millear said musical duo Soft would return to the market to entertain this year and Willaura Primary School’s choir and band would perform for the first time. “Ararat Primary School 800’s Bamboozle Circus Troupe will be back for the seventh year and is always a colourful addition to the entertainment,” she said.

Mrs Millear said market stalls would include jams, preserves, homewares, metal art, cards, jewelry, art and craft, chocolate, fudge, plants, soy candles and more.

“With more than 70 stalls at this year’s market, there is sure to be something for everyone,” she said.

“More than 1500 people attend the market every year, which is growing in popularity with district residents and people from the wider Ararat region.”

The annual Sunday market will be on March 5 next to Willaura Healthcare in Delacombe Way, Willaura, from 10am to 2pm.

Stallholders keen to register to attend the market can call Mrs Millear on 5354 1452 for a registration form. Registrations close on February 20.
