Guided ‘stars’ tour

Wimmera residents can enjoy ‘A guided tour of the universe’ with Dr Ray Black in Stawell.

Dr Black will present an illustrated lecture in Stawell Uniting Church Hall on Friday at 7.30pm.

Reverend Susan Pearse said telescope observing would follow the lecture, weather permitting.

“Ray will touch on issues such as the explosive beginning of the universe, the life and death of stars, black holes and the fine tuning that appears present in the universe to allow for the formation of life,” she said.

Rev Pearse said weather permitting, Jupiter and the giant globular cluster Omega Centaurus would be viewed through a large telescope. “And more if time permits,” she said. People can call 5358 1161 for more information.
