Show success
Natimuk Agricultural and Pastoral Society members are set to start planning for next year after a successful 125th milestone show at the weekend.
Show secretary Judith Bysouth said the show had been a great success with competition entries and gate-takings well up on previous years.
“The show was absolutely fabulous. The weather was super and fireworks were absolutely spectacular. Planning for next year will start shortly,” she said.
“Shearing entries were well up and ran late into the afternoon and everything overall ran smoothly.”
Mrs Bysouth said unique attractions such as boomerang-painting and throwing activities led by Ron Marks were popular and a billy-boiling competition attracted significant interest.
“The popularity of the billy-boiling competition blew me away. Kids queued up to take part in a race involving chopping wood, lighting a fire and boiling a billy,” she said.
