Art Matters unveils new program

-

Horsham arts group Art Matters has unveiled its new program for the remainder of 2017.

On the back of its successful project, The Island, which culminated with a series of exhibitions throughout the recent Art is... festival, the group has turned its attention to two new programs.

Horsham Rural City Council’s community services director Kevin O’brien said the group was excited to now offer two programs, ARTZ Connexion and Shake ‘n’ Groove.

“Art Matters continues to create unique opportunities for people living with a disability to build individual capacity through a broad range of art projects,” he said.

“ARTZ Connexion targets adults aged 18 and older who wish to connect with others while creating great art, while Shake ‘n’ Groove is targeted at young people aged 12 to 20 who want to dance, perform and have fun.”

Mr O’brien said the model reflected a new format that al- lowed Art Matters to continue once the National Disability Insurance Scheme was introduced.
