Changing places

-

Councils and not-for-profit organisations can apply for grants to build a ‘Changing Place’ in their community.

Member for Lowan Emma Kealy said the Changing Places program aimed to boost access and equality for Victorians with a disability by building more-accessible bathrooms.

The grants are for bathrooms that are larger than standard, with enough room for two people, a tracking hoist system and a height-adjustable, adult-size changing bench. Applications close on October 13.

People can visit www.dhs.vic.gov.au/ changingplaces for more information.
