Auxiliary makes comfort priority

-

People undergoing dialysis treatment at East Grampians Health Service now do so in more comfort, thanks to a donation by the service’s auxiliary.

The auxiliary purchased five Roho cushions, which are designed to provide a comfortable and stable sitting environment for people having to sit for long periods of time. Auxiliary president Margie Kilpatrick said they were ideal for dialysis patients, who often received treatment for many hours at a time.

“We learned that not all of the treatment chairs in the dialysis department were fitted out with the Roho cushions,” she said.

“We felt it was important all patients had access to a comfortable experience while undergoing dialysis treatment, and we are very pleased to have been able to provide these cushions.

“The money was raised through our recent ‘From the Orchard’ lunch at Willaura.”
