Accolades for Harcourts’ Uebergang

-

Horsham real estate agent Jock Uebergang has won industry recognition at Harcourts Victoria’s quarterly awards ceremony in Melbourne.

Mr Uebergang collected three awards at the ceremony, which celebrates the achievements of Harcourts’ highest performing sales consultants, property managers and sales offices throughout Victoria.

Harcourts Horsham principal Mark Clyne said Mr Uebergang won a gold pin and bronze award, both for sales achievements.

“He was also named as a topthree lister, making him the number-three lister in the state – which is pretty good for us in the bush, considering the difference in property prices,” he said.

“Jock has been with us for two years and he’s certainly grown into a very good real estate agent.

“He’s a well-loved agent and delivers results. It’s one thing to be a nice guy and well liked, but you need to be able to deliver results as well.

“In two years he’s done what some guys in the industry have taken 10 years to do.”

Mr Clyne said he liked to joke real estate was in Mr Uebergang’s blood.

“His father was a real estate agent for a while and his grandfather had a real estate agency in Horsham. It’s nearly in his DNA,” he said.

Horsham domestic violence survivor and White Ribbon advocate Simone O’brien was guest speaker at the awards ceremony.

Mrs O’brien is an ambassador for Harcourts Foundation’s Walk A Mile in Their Shoes campaign.

On September 1, hundreds of Harcourts staff, family, friends and community groups will join White Ribbon Australia to take a stand against men’s violence against women.

“The Walk A Mile concept will see men march down a street in Melbourne in high heels to see what it’s like to be on the other side and raise awareness of White Ribbon,” Mr Clyne said.

“Simone is a fantastic speaker. It’s not until she tells you her story that you can understand what happened.

“She can’t change it, but she can make people aware of the issue and try to prevent it from happening to others.

“We’re proud to support White Ribbon. We are one of three companies endorsed to sell White Ribbon merchandise.”

People can buy White Ribbon merchandise at Harcourts Horsham, 31 O’callaghan Parade.
