Film and fireworks at Big Weekend
Organisers of Murtoa’s Big Weekend next month are hosting a free Family Fun and Film Night in celebration of 21 years of the community event.
After a full day of activities at the 133rd Murtoa Show on October 6, patrons and families will have an opportunity to get involved in the family entertainment on offer at Lake Marma from 6.30pm to 11pm.
Graincorp is backing the evening’s activities, which will include a barbeque tea, live music from Murtoa district band The Stumps and the feature film Paper Planes on a large outdoor screen.
The night will also include a fireworks display, designed to reflect the beauty of Lake Marma, and wind up the night’s entertainment.

Big Weekend committee members have extended an invitation to everyone across the Wimmera to join in their celebrations and activities during Murtoa’s Big Weekend, which officially kicks off on Friday, October 6.
