Students gear up for day of fun
Horsham’s Ss Michael and John’s Primary School students are busy preparing for their second biennial Spring Community Festival, on November 12.
The Sunday festival will be at the school at 7 Mclachlan Street, Horsham.
Festival committee spokeswoman Narelle Ezard said this year’s festival promised to be bigger and better than before.
“Attractions for the kids include a climbing wall, orb balls, giant slide, bucking bull, chair o-plane, pony rides, arts and crafts,” she said.
“I’m sure the kids will also be excited by the addition of a ‘dunk tank’ this year. We will be roping in some teachers and special guests to participate.
“There is also something for the adults including specialised undercover market stalls, plant and garage sales, international cuisine, a licensed bar and all day barbecue. Our stage performers this year include Horsham School of Dance, Zumba, Grease, Uptempo, Aikido martial arts and there will also be live music.
“Devonshire and high teas will be happening again, with an array of lovely treats.
“Tickets for these events can be purchased by calling the school on 5382 3000.”
Ms Ezard said the festival was a wonderful fundraiser for the school and an opportunity to put on something fun for the community.
“You don’t have to be involved with the school to attend, everyone is more than welcome to come and enjoy a fun, family day out,” she said.
“Entry is free and endless ride wrist bands are available to buy on the day.”
