Ararat Live will host upcoming talent Blue Child Collective on Wednesday next week.

Ararat Live’s Rob Shea said the band’s ‘easy-flowing, conscious song craft’ created music with a purpose.

Multi-instrumentalist Dan White fronts Blue Child Collective, which released its third record, ‘Saturn Saw the Seaside’ in Corsica, France, in 2016.

“Since then they have knocked out almost 300 shows across Europe, New Zealand and Australia in the past 18 months, bringing both full band dance-offs and intimate duo performances to a rapidly growing global following,” Mr Shea said.

“Having supported major touring acts such as The Cat Empire, Sticky Fingers, Caravana Sun, OKA, Band Of Frequencies and many more, the group are notorious for their cross-pollination within and without the music industry.”

The band’s fourth record, ‘Wake Up To The Sound’ is due this year.

“Blue Child Collective is rapidly growing into a major catalyst for positive change on a global scale as more and more people join the movement and contribute to the “Culture Of Connection,” Mr Shea said.

He said Ararat Live organisers were thrilled to deliver this year’s line-up, which also includes the return of overseas star Steve Poltz in March and Canadian trio The Good Lovelies in April.

Blue Child Collective will perform in Ararat Hotel’s Red Room from 8pm. Door entry is $20 for adults. Ararat Live is a not for profit small band of friends that have continued to bring quality live music to Ararat since October 2010.
