Goalies in form

- BY SARAH SCULLY

Harrow-balmoral will look to continue its strong form before the interleague break when it takes on Horsham District A Grade ladder leader Laharum on Saturday.

With decorated defender Ebonie Salter back in the mix, freeing up Megan Russell to lead midcourt duties, the fifth-placed Southern Roos should put on a good show against the Demons.

Southern Roos shooter Amy Lewis and her Laharum counterpart Caitlin Story are in great form, which will pave the way for strong battles at both ends of the court.

Harrow-balmoral might need a little longer to gel its new line-up before it is strong enough to overcome Laharum, but since we’re only coming into round seven, it’s still early days.

Kalkee and Swifts should provide another ripper match for spectators. Expect a great battle between slick midcourters and a shoot-out up either end – both teams are showing plenty of accuracy in the ring.

Swifts, sitting third, will look to continue on their winning way while the Kees – sixth on percentage – will be out to push further up the ladder.

Noradjuha-quantong will look to bounce back from a significant loss to Harrow-balmoral when it takes on Taylors Lake. The Bombers need a confidence-boosting win but the Lakers will be out to cause an upset.

Edenhope-apsley will also be keen to return to the winners list after a drubbing at the hands of Laharum. Despite last round’s disappointment, the Saints have been gelling well. Their strength lies in their defensive circle, which will work hard to limit the abilities of Jeparit-rainbow’s shooters.

In the final match of the round, 10th-placed Rupanyup will host ninth-placed Pimpinio.

Natimuk United has a bye.
