Have your say on Wesley PAC direction

-

The community is invited to complete a survey that will uncover performing arts demand in the Horsham region and inform the future direction of the Wesley Performing Arts Centre. The online questionnaire is part of an overarching Strategic Needs Assessment of Performing Arts in the region also informing the future of the Wesley Performing Arts Centre. The Centre, in Roberts Avenue, Horsham has been closed since 1ovember because of fire safety concerns. Horsham Rural City Council Director Community Wellbeing Kevin O’Brien said people with an interest in Performing Arts and in Wesley were encouraged to have their say. “Council would like to hear the views of the community and key stakeholders to assist in the future planning of performing arts in the region,” Mr O’Brien said. “The survey will only take about minutes and there is an opportunity to provide additional information and feedback.

“All responses will remain confidential,” he said. Mr O’Brien said the Wesley PAC Committee was currently considering the overall condition of the building and use of the facility into the future. “To support this, Council has engaged a specialist consultant, Artefact Consulting, to undertake a Strategic Needs Assessment.

“This will provide Council with a performing arts service demand analysis that will be used to inform any future strategic decisions for Wesley and develop potential models for service delivery taking into account all life cycle costs,” he said. The survey is available on Council’s website and is open from 0onday 6eptember until 6unday 6eptember . )or more information visit hrcc.vic.gov.au.
