Bag a bargain at Warracknabeal
Warracknabeal residents and visitors can bag a bargain in the lead-up to Christmas at a town shopping spree on November 4.
The Warracknabeal Girl Guide and Scout Shopping Spree, from 11am to 3.30pm, raises money for the two organisations.
Co-organiser Amber Healey said 10 businesses had jumped on board for the event.
“Most of them are opening exclusively for the shoppers and all shops involved will offer discounts to ticket holders,” she said.
The spree will start at the band Scout hall in Devereux Street at 10.30am and finish with afternoon tea at the hall at 3pm.
“All people who buy tickets for the spree will receive a lanyard,” Ms Healey said.
“All shoppers who purchase in every business will get their lanyard signed and will have the opportunity to be a lucky shopper prize-winner, only available to shoppers who have completed the lanyard.”
Ms Healey said organisers had eliminated groups and set times this year.
“Instead we are offering an open time to shop, for as little or as long as you like in each location,” she said.
“There will be a set lunchtime for all shoppers and business to rest and refuel.”
Scout members will host a sausage sizzle.
Tickets cost $25 and are available until end of business on November 3 at Warrack Home Timber and Hardware.
