Students impress at school shoot

Hundreds of students from across the state descended on Minyip on Monday for the 19th annual Minyip Field and Game School Shoot.

Students from year seven to 12, or those older than 12, were eligible to shoot in the competitio­n, at the club’s Minyip-coromby Road range.

To ensure a fair competitio­n, the students were organised into member and non-member, junior and senior categories.

Results Overall high gun: Kaleb Horsham College, 23. Boys high gun: Jacob Cook, Baimbridge College, 22. Girls high gun: Zoe Hawker, Kaniva College, 19. Senior boys member: Angus Dunn, Swan Hill Secondary College, Wilis Jenkins, Casterton, Jackson Murray, Donald High School, 20. Senior boys non-member: Beau Griffiths, Donald, 19, Michael Sampson, Barham High School, Damon New, Ballarat High School, 18. Junior boys member: Ed Beggs, Geelong Grammar School, 22, Kye

Senior girls: Gemma Hill, Baimbridge Grammar, 17, Ayleish Beaty, The Hamilton and Alexandra College, 15, Chloe Leask, Mercy Regional College, 13. Junior girls: Zoe Heinrich, Kaniva College, 18, Hannah Munro, Casterton Secondary College, 17, Sophia Robinson, Ballarat Grammar, 14, School aggregate: Casteron Secondary College 14.73, Kaniva Secondary College 14.43, Geelong Grammar 14.2.
