'uring these unprecedented times, Horsham Rural City Council is closely monitoring the coronayirus situation and making preparations for the potential challenges ahead. $ctiyities and seryices are being reyiewed daily, with an emphasis on prioritising essential seryices, such as waste collection. 'epartment of Health and Human Seryices ('HHS) is the lead Victorian agency dealing with the coronayirus situation, which is eyolying and changing rapidly. :e are encouraging people to stay informed directly with 'HHS and follow adyice from the Chief Health Officer for Victoria. Council is reyiewing and admusting proyision of seryices. ,n particular we are reyiewing public facing roles and Council run eyents with a Yiew to supporting health authorities as they seek to limit spread of the Yirus. $t this stage, most Council operated community facilities such as libraries, community centres and recreational facilities remain open with no changes to operations. Howeyer this is submect to change. :e haye enacted our pandemic response plan and a Council working group is meeting daily to eyaluate and respond to the latest COV,' deyelopments. Our decision making is being informed by adyice from health authorities. HRCC is preparing for future changes to the situation and will proyide updates as changes occur. The Mibus Centre /ibrary in Horsham will remain open.
