Craft your own beer with the pros

Bottled Lightning Co’s ongoing collaboration brew project is your chance to create your very own beer with one of Sydney’s foremost craft breweries

Bottled Lightning Co is a collective of brewers, dedicated beer lovers and new craft converts. They meet at least once a month for fun events and to make the most of what Sydney’s best independent breweries have to offer. Their current partners include: 4 Pines; Batch Brewing Co; Riverside Brewing Co; Rocks Brewing Co; and Young Henrys.

Once every few months, Bottled Lightning Co picks one of its members to collaborate with one of their partner breweries to brew a one-off beer for commercial distribution through their influential network of pubs and bars. Above all, the collaboration brew project is designed to help further the bond between Sydney and the craft beer community, and to produce beers with a focus on seasonality, quality and a story.

The latest collaboration brew – Pink Lightning – is the lovechild of lucky Bottled Lightning Co member Matt Cobb and the pride of Newtown, Young Henrys. Named by Matt and other BLCo members at a dedicated launch gig, the ale takes its name from the generous dose of hibiscus infused through the beer (the body – and even the head – of the beer throws a handsome shade of magenta).

BLCo x Young Henrys Pink Lightning is available now at Young Henrys (76 Wilford St, Newtown 2042) and at select venues around Sydney, while stocks last.
