Fly south this month to see three of the world's best club teams – Real Madrid, Manchester City and Roma – play at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, then explore Carlton, Melbourne's spiritual home of soccer

It's the first time – and maybe the only time – we'll ever see this group of European league champions competing in Australia.

This July the MCG is hosting three electrifying nights of soccer with three of the best teams in the world: Real Madrid CF, Manchester City FC and AS Roma.

The opening match on Saturday July 18 will see champions of Europe, Real Madrid, clash with Italian super club AS Roma. Tuesday July 21 will see Melbourne City's sister club, Manchester City, facing off against AS Roma in an entertaining match played in the open and attacking style of football both clubs are known for. For the final match on Friday July 24, Real Madrid will go head to head with Manchester City in one of the most significant football matches ever played outside of Europe.

Italo Zanzi, CEO of AS Roma, says: “We very much look forward to playing in Melbourne and interacting with fans in the city, Australia and the region,” while Ferran Soriano, chief executive of Manchester City FC, says: “We know that it will also be a home away from home for Manchester City and we can't wait to play in front of our Australian fans.”

Meanwhile Carlo Ancelotti, coach of Real Madrid CF, says: “We are aware of the large number of Real Madrid CF fans in Australia and it will be a pleasure to be close to them and give them the best that the club has to offer.”
