CAR vs BOBSLED RUN

Not content with ballistic laps of the Isle of Man, Mark Higgins has once again proved his bravery/insanity with a barely held-together dash down the bob run in St Moritz. To stand up to the punishment, an STI underwent some serious modifcations at the hands of Prodrive, including an FIA-spec roll cage and seat, special harnesses, new tyres ftted with 400 7mm-long tungsten-carbide studs, 50 per cent frmer springs and all the glass replaced with race-ready plastic. Good thing too, judging by the way he ricochets his way down the ice chute. Plans for induction into the Winter Olympics are currently on hold.
