D1 to Poprad

There’s a nice bit of highway near Poprad in Slovakia. Take the exit to Vysoké Tatry. It’s mostly mountain roads through forests, but sometimes there are clear spots, so when there’s good weather, there’s a nice view. Route: D1 to Poprad (from Liptovský Mikuláš) – exit Vysoké Tatry (route 534) – Route 537 east. But Route 584 from Liptovský Mikuláš to the north isn’t bad too. Beware of cops. There are no speed cameras in Slovakia, just unmarked patrol cars who will hunt you down. Black VW Golf Estates are the latest ones...
