How does it drive?

-

It’s very approachable. There is plenty of grip, and the 2.0-litre 4cyl’s power delivery is linear. In typical MX-5 fashion, there’s lots of body roll before any slip occurs. That doesn’t mean it’s not fun. It just gives you lots of confidence. Notably sharper than its rival. Grip falls away quicker than in the MX-5, especially in the wet. But the GT86 is just more exciting, more addictive. Its steering is superb and there’s a joy in purely operating its controls.
