Mr. Freeze – Batman and Robin “The Ice Man Cometh!” “Allow me to break the ice!” Arnold Schwarzenegger’s cold-hearted villain, AKA Dr. Victor Fries, froze George Clooney’s nipples, spouting more icy puns than Gotham City could cope with. Robbing diamonds to fund research to cure his ailing wife, he should’ve been called ‘Mr. Cheese’.

Iceman – X-Men series Last seen freezing sentinels in Days Of Future Past, Marvel’s teeny mutant Bobby Drake – or Iceman, if you prefer – has blasted his chilly powers across the X-Men series. Attracted to Rogue and antagonistic towards Pyro, the Shawn Ashmore character was also good at serving his mother with an iced latte in X2.

Jack Frost – Jack Frost No, not the lame Michael Keaton movie but the 1997 schlock horror in which Scott MacDonald plays a serial killer who dies in a traffic accident only to return as a genetically mutated murderous snowman. Calling himself “the world’s most pissed-off snowcone”, he looks about as scary as a Styrofoam cup.

Jack Frost – Rise Of The Guardians The naughty spirit of winter at the heart of Dream Works’ fairytale, Jack Frost is a teenage mischief-maker who, if you met him, would probably be about as fun as a snowball down your pants. Despite frequently nipping at our noses, he gets pretty narked that nobody believes he even exists. Boo-hoo.

Elsa – Frozen Based on Hans Christian Anderson’s Snow Queen, Disney’s icy heroine Elsa is the ultimate frosty-knickers, blessed/cursed with the ability to manipulate snow and ice (that’s cryokinesis to you). So what does she do? Create a bloody annoying snowman called Olaf and sing a song about letting it go. Get over it, girl.
