Having gone all cosmic/spacey/tripping balls with its last two entries ( Doctor Strange, Guardians Vol. 2) the MCU gets back down to earth with an everyday teen. Albeit a wall-crawling, web-splooging one. Who’s bezzie mates with a billionaire and fights a man in a bird costume. Still, this reboot does promise to restore the Marvel icon’s relatability, doubling down on Spidey’s high-school hassles. With audience goodwill already in the bank thanks to his shield-snatching, Empire Strikes Back- riffing Civil War debut, Tom Holland is back; plus RDJ and Michael Keaton as the angel/devil on his shoulders.
