Some memoirs are written for closure, others for money. Alec Baldwin seemingly penned his to settle scores. He’s mad at Paramount for the “unconscionable demands” that led to him losing the Jack Ryan role; he’s mad at MSNBC for firing him for allegedly using an anti-gay slur; and he’s really mad at ex-wife Kim Basinger and her lawyers. Many of the anecdotes entertain and Baldwin is nothing if not candid, but there’s a wearying sense that he has at least as many beefs as brothers. Neil Smith
