DC has enlisted Ava DuVernay

(A Wrinkle In Time) to direct its next big-screen blockbuster, New Gods. The news comes after DuVernay revealed her favourite superhero is Big Barda, one of the characters in the title created by Jack Kirby, whose original story was a hard sci-fi set on twin planets in a far-flung realm.
