ATalented Mr. Ripley for our social-media age, writer/director Matt Spicer’s feature debut sees lonely and unstable Ingrid (Aubrey Plaza) strike out for Los Angeles to ingratiate herself into the seemingly perfect life of Instagram ‘influencer’ Taylor (Elizabeth Olsen). These new BFs are not F, however, and the filter is soon removed from their snapshot of supersaturated happiness – particularly when Taylor’s snide brother (Billy Magnussen) comes calling. Resisting easy mockery or a simple good girl/bad girl dynamic, this stalker tale has pertinent things to say and manages to be both perky and disturbing. Jamie Graham
