MATT Metallica’s Some Kind Of Monster is obviously one of the greatest! [For our doc] we gave away the rights to the editor. We wanted to capture all of it: angst and everything. We’re both absurdly private human beings but we just knew that we wanted it to be warts and all. LUKe For me as a filmmaker, I wanted it to feel like a film and not like a glorified piece of promo. Two documentaries I would say I love would be MAn on WIre and Searching For Sugar Man. They set a standard.
