Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the Antarctic waters… the docu-phenom of 2005 gets a sequel whose visuals really deserve a bigscreen berth; but even on home-ent, the 4K photography gets you so close to the penguins, you can practically smell their fishy breath. Sticking to a winning formula, director Luc Jacquet re-enlists Morgan Freeman, whose voiceover imbues even the word “sponges” with gravitas. Shame that climate change isn’t discussed more.
