Thought we only had a year to wait for Wonder Woman 1984? Sadly, it’s been pushed back to 5 June 2020, to sit in the same release window as the original film. “Its rightful home,” according to Gal Gadot. Sob.

BETTER OFF DEAD

World War Z 2 has found a director in David Fincher, who’ll reunite with his Se7en star Brad Pitt. They’ll set the dead walking with a June 2019 production kick-off. No word yet if he’ll put a zombie head in a box.

NEW SQUAD

James Gunn has signed on to write – and possibly direct – Suicide Squad 2 for DC. Well, if anybody can pull off the comics’ hammerheaded King Shark, it’s the guy who made us fall in love with a tree and talking raccoon.

GOT WOOD?

Guillermo del Toro is making his first kids’ film – a stop-motion Pinocchio for Netflix. “No single character in history has had as deep a personal connection to me as Pinocchio,” said the director, who’ll also co-write and produce.
