The Future In Whose Eyes?

The full-length return of the progressive metal pioneers comes with a slight line-up change, but new co-vocalist Joe Rosser fits into the maelstrom perfectly on an album worthy of their reputation. Time and experience have made their hooks sharper, with the production of guitarist Dan Weller and Periphery’s Adam ‘Nolly’ Getgood’s mix delivering. Co-vocalist Mikee Goodman’s excellent spoken word poetic curveballs are still represented, but what we’re really giddy about is Weller and Graham ‘Pin’ Pinney’s dynamic – it’s firing on all cylinders, crafting rhythmic hooks from odd meters ( Golden Cufflinks) and proving with the likes of No Wishbones they’re masters of melding melody and intricacy.
