The Source Audio Vertigo at any price point would be a solid offering from the forward-thinking company, but as the cheapest pedal in this round-up, it’s little short of a steal. The pedal shines when run in stereo, but even in mono a lot of fun can be had in the ‘normal’ mode with square and sawtooth wave tremolos. With the trem on sawtooth and a tab of the synth part, there’s just about a Baba O’Riley intro sound in there if you want to unleash your inner Pete Townshend. The only real con to this pedal is that it’s very versatile but doesn’t have many truly wacky options.
