From the artwork and styling of the Keeley DynaTrem, you might surmise that this pedal is supposed to sit on top of your amp and work as a stand-in for an amp trem, and you’d not be too far off. There are hours of fun to be had from running a clean guitar into the highly intuitive dynamic modes, where rate and depth change as your guitar signal tails off. The only caveat is that with an overdrive in front of it, your signal doesn’t tail off in the same way and the dynamic modes are less dramatic. The harmonic mode, meanwhile, allows for some unusual yet musical reverb combinations.
