And ‘live’ really does mean that in this case. Paul Gilbert’s guitar solos were all recorded with the band, with overdubs kept to a minimum. Be Kind’s solo has a bluesy improvised vibe and Mean To Me sees Paul Gilbert and bassist Billy Sheehan trading shred licks – question and answer style.
