Old Gold
TArtificially-aged Corts orrefaction is a word that you’re going to be hearing a lot more of in the acoustic guitar world. Brands including Martin, Ibanez and now Cort are artificially aging guitar tops through a process of controlled baking to offer some of the qualities of a vintage, naturallyaged acoustic. Cort’s new Gold series, the Gold-D6 NAT dreadnought and Gold-O6 orchestra models, boast aged spruce tops, but Cort has gone further with its mission to enhance by scalloping the internal bracing to help increase vibration and reduce weight.
