After they nearly called it a day following 2012 third album Afterglow, it’s a relief to see this four-piece recognise the special chemistry they have together. Joe Bonamassa and Glenn Hughes prove again that they bring out good things from each other; the riffy pace of Sway and LoveRemains should make Zeppelin fans happy but the Joe-led folkier epic
The Last Song Of My Resting Place is a different creature; its slow build and majestic atmosphere proving how far he’s come as a vocalist and writer. And there’s plenty of his classic rock fire to be savoured in the extended solos to Wanderlust and TheCove. Rob Laing Download Sway
