Call and response… An easy way to develop any lick

Established by early blues artists, the idea of call and response is inspired by the trading of vocal lines in workers’ songs. At its simplest, one person sings a line before another sings a line back, developing the melody as they go. Think like this when you play and you’ll give your solos a solid sense of direction whatever style of music you play.
