In a career now spanning over 50 years, Jeff Beck can truthfully be said to have pushed the boundaries of contemporary electric guitar playing consistently and beyond the expectation of his fans. Often cited as the guitar hero’s guitar hero, he wows audiences and fellow musicians alike with his unique playing style. We could fill an entire issue with lessons on Jeff’s style but here we have just the briefest tip. A simple riff based on the Guitar Shop era - an album which, remember, saw off the likes of Steve Morse, Joe Satriani, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Andy Summers at the 1990 Grammy Awards. Enough said!
