Radradra double in western showdown

- CHRISTIAN NICOLUSSI

PARRAMATTA’S giant Fijian winger Semi Radradra last night bagged a double to help the Eels to a 28- 16 victory over the Wests Tigers.

The victory helped keep Parramatta’s finals hopes alive.

For Radradra, it was his fifth straight game where he had bagged at least a double.

His tally now stands at a whopping 16 tries in only 10 games.

Had the flyer not broken down with a knee injury and missed six weeks earlier this season, you have to wonder if the Eels would be sitting a little higher up the ladder than they are.

As it stands, they’re now eleventh, but more importantly just one win outside the eight.

They have racked up three on the trot and go into the bye round on a high. The thought of Radradra terrorising opponents on his left wing for the remaining two months will also give the long- suffering Eels fans reason to believe.

This Monday night encounter between two proud western Sydney clubs drew a crowd of 15,347.

The only two things they would have went home knowing was Radradra is a freak when it comes to scoring tries, and the Tigers would be in for an extra long final two months of the season if they didn’t have fullback James Tedesco.

Radradra is a Fijian, but has expressed his desire repeatedly to play for NSW.
